 photo: david lindley camels are bloody uncomfortable (mind you, so are horses to me so perhaps i'm not the best person to judge) beasts and you're never quite sure whether and what they are going to expel; and from which end! my camel was roped to sue's in front and consequently i had the dubious pleasure of inhaling the noxious vapours emanating from said foul beast - for several hours! frankly it's amazing that i managed to cope: the discomfort (side saddle is best), the smell and the fading light all conspired to make it extremely difficult to take any photos, hence i'm particularly pleased with this one taken in the late afternoon. i wanted to call it midnight at the oasis but couldn't for obvious reasons. | |
