donkey & Rider

donkey & rider

When we arrived in morocco one of the first things that struck me was the men in traditional outfits; it was odd to see people awaiting planes in djellabas, the pointed hooded robes seen on the man in the photo, it looked for all the world that we'd wandered into a colourful klu klux klan meeting! Thinking about it, I realised I'd seen something very similar in photos of the religious processions in Seville; then I remembered that the berbers of morocco had of course ruled southern spain for around 700 years - where the Christian robes in Seville a legacy of the arabs long rule?
