![]() photo: david lindley on one side of the harbour there were a number of boats pulled up onto the dockside in various states of disrepair; at around 8 in the morning, men started swarming over them, firstly ripping off anything that could be removed without a blowtorch, and when finished with that they started cutting large chunks of steel off the hulls. on the other side of the harbour, a similar number of boats stood in a rank; no-one seemed to attend to these ones - they appeared to me to be half built - but maybe they stood patiently awaiting parts from the workers on the other side of the harbour to recycle something important. | |
