 photo: david lindley the downside of having our stay on the houseboat so early in the trip was that we hadn't yet acclimatised to the heat during the night; the air con units in the room didn't work and we were left with a fan that did little more than stir up the soupy night air. the night passed for us in a blur of sweat and broken moments. a fellow traveller, rob, decided to try to get cool by sleeping on deck: staggering groggily up there he stumbled across the crew who had already bedded down there for the night; he found a space though and this is how we found him the next morning. | |
