 photo: sue lindley thank you all for the quacktastic response to the photos over the past two days, we can't get onto the work computer to thank all who commented individually, so thanks again! today's photo is taken from the river. the river in kerala is a major arterial route, with waterbuses, individuals in canoes and larger, merchant boats: like on any major road companies will want to advertise their prodcuts to the bored drivers and passengers as they travel and here that wish to advertise is fulfilled by painting bright, colourful messages on the sides of houses or stalls. i know that there's a man visible on the side of the photo - we did discuss whether or not to crop off the edge and as you can see we decided not, we felt it gave a bit of human context: should we have cropped? | |
