 photo: david lindley the tata group is a true sign of india's burgeoning economic growth comprising as it does 93 companies ranging from tea, automobiles, steel, power, insurance, hotels, publishing and it; an honest-to-goodness capitalist multinational corporation. interestingly, despite having a turnover of around $47 billion, it appears that it is a familly run organisation; powerful people indeed. here in the uk the tata brand is better known in it's guise as tetley tea; in the high hills of kerala if you don't work for tata themselves you almost certainly work for someone who does! late news: a special merit award to AG who spotted that the man appears to be working on a tata sewing machine too! | |
