 photo: sue lindley if ernakulam is the modern commercial heart of kochi, then mahatma gandhi road (or mg road as it is known by almost everyone) is it's most important artery. running north to south, and pretty well dividing the city in two, mg road is where you go when you want the latest in saris, the blingiest of bling jewellery, or to see the latest bollywood movie - or indeed kerala's own version of them seeing as the majority of keralans do not speak hindi. the road is very, very busy all day. | |
