![]() photo: david lindley we caught a train from kochi back to the wonderfully named thiruvanantharpuran, to sort of complete our circle of kerala. catching a train there was a wonderful experience in itself - i suspect we must have had pretty good tickets as there was a choice of toilets; western or indian, there was a continual supply of tea and coffee via the ever patrolling stewards, and as it was such an early start, we had breakfast on the move - a very respectable masala dhosa (infinitely preferable to one of those soggy cheese and tomato sandwiches you get on trains here). i have to admit i've never been brave or agile enough to master the art of the asian toilet - it's difficult enough when it's stationary let alone on the move - so i was relieved (in more ways than one!) to see the western loo. | |
