 photo: david lindley well, i always swore i'd never post a self portrait of myself on the blog: after all i didn't want to scare away the punters did i? but here we are anyway - i've had a change of mind - me in all my glory! only a couple of days left now, so please don't forget to check out our home town of chesham over at scenefrommylife, where i'm guest photographer this week. this has been a fun and very novel project for me: i've never posted 'real-time' photos before and it's quite a challenge to come up with a new shot on a daily basis; the shot that's great one day is rubbish the next, for instance because of the lighting (actually it was literally rubbish on tuesday - rubbish collection day meant the streets were lined with bins and bags!); people have erected scaffolds in front of that great shot or cut back the flowers you had your eyes on. it's also been terrific though to see my home town in a new light, seeing new things that you've just never noticed before only yards from your door. in short it's been inspirational for me and i'd recommend everyone to sign up and give it a go someday. | |
