where the wind blows

photo: david lindley

well, after a brief and unscheduled hiatus, we're back; thanks to everyone who has dropped by over the past few days. today's shot is a bit of a mystery: located on the newcastle side of the millennium bridge, i thought at first perhaps it was one of those wind gods that you see illustrating old maps. there was no sign or inscription that i noticed - no problem i thought, i'm bound to find out what it is on the internet but no: nada, rien, zip! all i found was vague description of a river god that may or may not fit the bill. so sorry, unless someone out there can help we're stuck with our own imaginings.
