![]() photo: david lindley this is burnmouth, just over the border in scotland: well, to be precise this row of cottages is known as partanhall, the rest of the village being out of sight at the top of the cliffs. our base for our stay with our friends up north, it was wonderfully peaceful and remote from the day to day experience of life near london. each moring we would wake with the morning sun streaming through the windows and look out on an uninteruppted vista of the sea, perhaps occasionally with the sound out a small trawler chugging out from the harbour or, drifting across the bay, the odd barking noises of seals from the rocks at low tide. | |
