![]() photo: david lindley the guillemot, uria aalge, is one of the most numerous of the uk's sea birds, partly as a consequence of the many stretches of sea-cliffs we have here. they spend most of their lives in the open sea, only coming to land to breed; which they do only on cliff ledges or the top of off-shore rock stacks. where they do gather though they do so in huge colonies. | |
