![]() photos: david lindley apparently, if you have the bucks, it's relatively easy to arrange belizean nationality. consequently in recent years there has been quite an influx of settlers; mainly north american retirees (and the odd al-quaeda suspect) lured by the prospect of warm all-year weather, cheap property, stable government and fewer and less severe hurricanes than can be found in florida. as we travelled around the lagoon in crooked tree, with a wonderful sunrise and bounteous nature all around, i spotted this place on the lakeside and thought that escaping here didn't sound too bad an idea. david's reading: out ~ natsuo kirino | |
