 photo: david lindley placencia is the only one of the cayes off the coast that is reachable by car; being attached to the mainland by a narrow strip of land. after bumping along possibly the worst road in the world for over an hour and feeling my internal organs rearranging themselves into new configurations, we reached the row of dusty hotels, shops and chalets that forms the town and would be our home for a few days. listening to: lamposts ~ bell xi | |
