 photo: david lindley here we're standing on 'el castillo', which is the pyramid featured in the photos of the past few days; i can't tell you much about the structures we can see apart from their names - A-1, A-13 and A-11. still, i can tell you that to the left we have guatemala whilst the rest of the shot remains in belize. down on the ground we can just about see kim; and it was thanks to her that we discovered the amazing acoustic properties of the pyramids. standing and talking quietly to jeff about how kim was too lazy to get off her arse and climb the steps up; it transpired she could hear every word! as she told us in no uncertain way! we realised two things: firstly that the mayan priests perched high on the pyramids would have had no problem in getting their message out to the masses below, and scondly that we'd have to be bloody careful what we said from now on! listening to: love comes to me ~ bonnie 'prince' billy (thanks james) | |
