![]() photo: david lindley this is a mayan thatched hut of ancient lineage; traces of this traditional round-ended structure being discovered at archeological sites all over the mayan world. typically these simple buildings would be built utilising only materials garnered from the forests; a mayan family might have several such structures in a cluster, one for sleeping, one for cooking and one perhaps for storage. listening to: girl in the war ~ josh ritter | |
