 photo: david lindley i got the distinct impression that angie was a tad unimpressed by our trip notes yesterday so here is what i know about this place: pieve dei santi ippolito e cassiano a coneo the church was on record in the mid 10th century and already in ruins by the 15th century; abandoned, it lost its parish rights in the early 18th century. apparently in the upper portion of the facade there are traces of a small blind loggia with a mullioned window within. well, i hope that helps. if anyone knows who the small blind loggia is, and why he's up there with a mullioned window anyway, please let me know. | |
