![]() photo: david lindley some people who have been to rome might be confused to see the emblem of siena also being that of a she-wolf suckling the infants romulus and remus. according to the legend though, siena was founded by senius, the son of remus (who was the brother of romulus, after whom rome was named). today this emblem can be seen on statues and other artwork all over the city: other explanations do exist for the origin of siena, but none are as interesting as being founded by the son of a son of a wolf! | |
