 photo: sue lindley if there's ever a shot to deserve the title it has to be this one. it never failed to amaze me that you could look to the left, the right, back and forward and see...nothing. a nothing that stretched endlessly. you would drive the empty miles in a straight line and crest a small ridge, wondering if the next stretch of road would bring you something else to see; but it didn't. for me (david) this was one of the highlights of the trip: yes, i know we saw the animals, the deserts etc, but i'd never seen anything quite like this. | |
