 photo: david lindley romania has a series of painted monasteries that have survived centuries of invasions, war and weather to still remain awe inspiring. like many painted churches these illustrated the important passages of the bible to educate (and frighten) the masses and also recorded significant battles against the moors and sundry other foreigners. | |
