 photo: david lindley people are generally divided by the gherkin ('pickle' to our american cousins) as the swiss re building is popularly known. i'm for it totally, despite my comments about modern buildings on the previous post, i find certain modern buildings inspiring; although they use modern materials i think that both time and money has been spent, they're not cheap as their older relations were in imagination and cost. personally i think this one is a modern classic and it enhances the skyline. centre point? rip it down now! | |
