trevelez

the village of trevelez is known in spain mainly for two things: it is the highest village in spain and it is the home of serrano ham curing. loving these little spanish villages and being addicted to serrano ham, we just had to go.

trevelez itself wasn't much different to many other of these villages; a maze of narrow alleys and pretty whitewashed houses clinging to the wall of the valley. it also had a couple of recommended bars, where we once again sampled the local rosada, enjoyed a tapas or two (ham of course) and watched the world pass by - slowly; after all it is southern spain.
