![]() photo: david lindley you can see from this photo that the spanish way of growing grapes is quite different to that of france: in france the vines are tightly regimented, trained and strained along wires; here they seem content to let them ramble in any direction, trimmed perhaps into a vaguely bush-like shape. i'm not sure whether this provides any more or less grapes, rather than give an insight into the differing national characteristics of the french and spanish. this particular farm had perhaps the best view in the area. to one side rolling hills of vineyards, olives and almonds, to the other the land dropped off steeply towards the sea, highlighted with beautiful little sandy coves. | |
